PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent combustion time for each boiler from being made non- uniform in a boiler where many cans are disposed. SOLUTION: A machine number controller for a multiple can installation boiler is adapted such that a plurality of boilers each including a pressure detector 3 for detecting vapor pressure are installed, and these boilers are combusted in succession following the preference order of operations set by a machine number controller 4. A set pressure value in the boiler is previously defined for each preference order of operations for the machine number controller 4, and a combustion state of the boiler is determined by comparing the set pressure value defined for each preference order of the operation for each boiler and a detection pressure value detected by a pressure detector. In the machine number controller, when a plurality of boilers enjoys stable combustion, pressure values detected by pressure detectors of the boilers are compared with each other for detection of their difference and the set pressure value is modified in response to the difference between the detected pressure value.
