PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mountability on a vehicle by attaching miniaturization and lightening of weight in the whole of a transmission shift operating device. SOLUTION: This transmission shift operating device, comprising an operating direction detection switch 18 detecting a shift operating direction of a change lever 16, motor 23 additionally provided with a reduction gear 24 turning a shift shaft 21 of a transmission 20 mechanically connected to the change lever 16, and a shift position detection switch 26 as an operating position detection means 27 detecting an operating position of the shift shaft 21, performs shift operation of the transmission 20 by driving the motor 23 based on an output signal from the operating direction detection switch 18 and the shift position detection switch 26.
