<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply contract a virtual path VP, to eliminate waste in resource and to simplify the management of a network side. SOLUTION: An asynchronous transfer mode ATM transmitter 4 stores band information, with respect to a traffic type of classes 1-3, where a band and a cell loss of a transmission line are warranted among traffic types of a band management table stored in a storage device 204, to a storage area denoting a transmission rate among storage areas and stores the band information a storage area, denoting a band aiming at a statistic multiplex effect among storage areas storing information with respect to a traffic type of a class 4 aiming at the statistic multiplex effect among the traffic types of the table. Furthermore, the transmitter 4 assigns band to an extent which is not in excess of the stored information and manages the band.</p> |
