The invention relates to a device for separating substances which are of different flowabilities and which are mixed with one another, especially for the purpose of preparing foodstuffs. The inventive device comprises a hollow drum (2) which is rotatably driven and which has a perforated outer surface (3). The separation device also comprises an endless pressure belt (5) which, externally, can press upon said perforated outer surface while wrapping around a portion of the circumference of the hollow drum.
