PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix recording material where an unfixed image is transferred regardless of curling of the recording material. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a transfer means 3 transferring an image formed on an image carrier 1 to the recording material 2, a fixing means 4 provided with a pair of fixing members 4a and 4b and fixing the unfixed image on the recording material 2 at a fixing nip range N formed by pressurized contact of the fixing members 4a and 4b and a moving means 5 by which a forming position of the fixing nip range N is moved against at least a direction orthogonally crossed with a carrying direction of the recording material 2.
