PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of harmful substance at the time of incineration, reclamation or the like by laminating a magnetic layer and an adhesive layer on a nonmagnetic supporting body and incorporating a cellulosic biodegradable resin into resins of the magnetic layer. SOLUTION: A thermal transfer laminated body for forming a magnetic recording medium consists of a transferring temporary supporting body 1, a protective layer 2, a magnetic layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4. A biodegradable bonding resin for dispersing magnetic powder used for forming the magnetic layer 3 is a cellulose acetate based biodegradable resin and the chemical structure of the cellulose molecule is specified to a polysaccharide shown by the formula. The number (N) of the cellobiose unit is specified to a range of from 2,000 to 2,500. The 20-30 wt.% bonding resin to the magnetic powder, solvents such as MEK, toluene, cyclohexanone, a dispersing agent and resin filler are added to the magnetic powder and dispersed with a ball mill and 25-50 wt.% solid concentration is adjusted to prepare a magnetic paint. The magnetic paint is applied onto the nonmagnetic supporting body 1 and dried to obtain a coated film having a 2-20μm thickness. The coated film is transferred onto the magnetic recording medium substrate and then the supporting body 1 is stripped.
