PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reproducing operation from a reproduction start position in accordance with conditions of users without requiring trouble operation by setting one state out of a resume invalid state and plural resume states having required positions in accordance with reproducing or recording operation of a previous time respectively. SOLUTION: Reproduction PB1 is performed from a track TRK1, and a user performs stop operation in the middle of a track TRK4. At the time, a CPU makes a flash memory store an address 'Adx' being a stop position and/or a stopped track number 'TRK4'. When the next reproduction in resume-off is executed, reproduction is performed from a normal reproduction start position, that is, the leading of the track TRK1. When resume-on is set at the time of reproduction, a reproduction start position is made a previous stop position, when resume track-on is set at the time of reproduction, a reproduction start position is made the leading of the track including the previous stop position.
