<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated carrier which does not cause the lowering of image density and blurring and does not contaminate a detection part which controls the concentration of a toner even when a color original having a large image area is continuously copied. SOLUTION: The resin coated carrier has a carrier core formed from a ferrite component having a composition of the formula (Fe2O3)a(MnO)b(MgO)c(A)d [where A is a mixture of SrO, CaO and Al2O3, (a) to (d) show molar fractions, 0.4<a<0.6, 0.35<b<0.45, 0.07<c<0.12, 0.005<d<0.015 and a+b+c+d<=1] and 0.01-2.0 mass % resin coating layer based on the mass of the carrier core on the surface of the carrier core. The resin coated carrier has 25-55μm average particle diameter.</p> |
