PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an easy change of gear ratio with a simple structure by reducing fastening elements. SOLUTION: This automatic transmission to transmit power from an engine side to an output shaft is provided with a first and a second planetary gear lines 24, 25, a third planetary gear line 26, plural fastening elements including a clutch device and a brake device, and a first and a second counter gear pairs 31, 32. The first and the second planetary gear lines 24, 25 are arranged on a first shaft 21 applied with power from the engine side. The third planetary gear line 26 is arranged on a second shaft 22 provided in parallel with the first shaft 21. The plural fastening elements are arranged at least on the first shaft 21 out of the first shaft 21 and the second shaft 22 to control a power transmission path. The first and the second counter gear pairs 31, 32 connect two components of the second planetary gear line 25 and two components of the third planetary gear line 26.
