PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prevent the burglar of a business machine such as a personal computer. SOLUTION: In this burglar monitoring device, the burglar of equipment connected through a line concentration device (HUB) 4 with a network can be prevented. A data detecting circuit 113 detects data or a link pulse transferred between the line concentration device 4 and a network interface circuit 11 provided inside equipment. Warning means 114 and 116 are driven by the output of the data detecting circuit 113.
