PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unwanted reflected light in a light radiation part or the like which is generated when the relative position in the axial direction of a sheath tube to an optical unit is changed. SOLUTION: A balloon 53 and a tip cap 52 are installed in the circumference of an optical unit 11 at the tip of an optical probe over a wide range in the axial direction as viewed from a light radiation part 32. A light transfer medium is sealed inside the balloon 53 and the tip cap 52. Thereby, even when the optical unit 11 is moved in the axial direction, a state that the light transfer medium is filled around the light radiation part 32 is maintained, and unwanted reflected light is reduced in the boundary face or the optical path of the light radiation part 32 or the like.
