The end part of an oval tube (111) has lengthways width (L) smaller than tube width (Two) normal to the tube length and parallel to the longitudinal section of the tube. The tube demarcates several holes (111b) for fluid flow, with most of the holes lying within the end width (L) and issuing at the tube end. Heat exchange between the tube fluid and a second fluid outside the tube is effected by means of a rib joined to the tubes, using a container connected to the tube end to link up the respective tube holes (111b). The end part has a sectional face (S) to extend lengthways and define the end width (L) and most of the holes (111b) include one hole nearest the end face (S) at distance (delta 0) from end face (S) to prevent crushing during end face forming. This distance amounts to (delta 0 = delta 1 + delta 2 + delta 3) wherein (delta 1) is the measurement needed to avoid hole collapse during reforming and (delta 2) is the dimensional tolerance between the majority of the holes (111b) and (delta 3) is the cutting tolerance of the end face (S) itself. Most holes lie along the tube section at interval (111c).
