<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compress multiband image data without damaging spectral waveform information by converting a spectral waveform of every pixel of a photographed image into a coefficient of an affine sum and including the coefficient and plural vectors in additional information of the image in the image compression. SOLUTION: A data compression part 14 comprises a data input means 40 for receiving a spectral waveform of every pixel estimated by an image input part, a base vector estimation means 42 for estimating a base vector from the spectral waveform per pixel by, for example, a statistic means or the like, and a coefficient operation means 46 which indicates the spectral waveform per pixel by an affine sum of the base vector, obtains the coefficient and converts the spectral waveform into the coefficient and a compression information adding means 48 for adding compression information such as the coefficient or the base vector to an image and recording it. Then, the spectral waveform of the photographed image per pixel is converted into the coefficient of the affine sum and the coefficient and plural vectors are included into the additional information in the image compression.</p> |
