<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize cooling operation by controlling the rotational speed of a motor for driving a propeller fan with slinger ring based on the level of stored drain water thereby regulating the quantity of water being sprayed to a condenser. SOLUTION: A drain pan 8 is provided with a float switching acting based on the level of drain water and a capacitor in the power supply circuit for a motor 6 driving a propeller fan 5 with slinger ring 5a is connected in parallel with a capacitor switching circuit comprising a series connection of a second capacitor and the float switch. When the drain water in the drain pan 8 exceeds a specified level, the switching circuit is opened and the rotational speed of the motor 6 is decreased. Consequently, the quantity of water being sprayed to a condenser 4 by the slinger ring 5a is decreased thus lowering the condensing capacity of the condenser 4 and thereby the evaporation capacity of an evaporator disposed on the indoor unit side.</p> |
