OVAL RESONATOR DEVICE

An oval resonator device (10) is provided which includes an oval resonator (20) having straight portions for coupling signals from external sources. The straight portions of the oval resonator (20) minimize phase mismatch in a coupled signal. The oval resonator device (10) can be used in various devices including channel-dropping filters, switches, turnables filters, phase modulators, and 1 x N multiplexers/demultiplexers.
