PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and device where an image of good quality can be obtained regardless of a type of transfer material, environment of use or a state of dryness or absorbency of transfer material. SOLUTION: In this device, transfer current (or transfer voltage) made to flow to a transfer part immediately after transferring of a toner image to the transfer material 22 is started is detected by an ammeter (or a voltmeter) 105 and a detected value is imparted to CPU 104. Next, compensation control of transfer bias is carried out by the CPU 104 only in a case where the transfer bias imparted to the transfer material exceeds a most appropriate range. Thus, the transferring of the toner image to the transfer material is carried out by the compensated most appropriate transfer bias corresponding to a state of the transfer material where the toner image is actually transferred or to the installed environment of a printer main body and inconvenience of having transfer efficiency of the toner image lowered due to excess or deficiency of the transfer bias is solved. |
