<p>The brush-holder unit 1 comprises an annular support base 2 of electrically-insulating material on one face of which are fixed, in diametral opposed positions, at least first and second brush guides 4,5; 14, 15 which mount respective conductive brushes 6,7,16,17. Tracks of electrically-conductive material are provided on and/or in the base 2 and electric and electronic motor control components are fixed and electrically connected to the tracks. The components comprising at least one solid-state electronic switch Q1, Q2 connected to the brushes and having an input terminal for a control signal, and passive components for polarizing the electronic switch.
