PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material giving good adhesion between a base material and a resin and excellent in shape stability at a high temperature after lamination and dimensional stability by forming a composite material by impregnating a heat resistant fiber sheet as a base material with a heat resistant resin having incorporated thereinto an ionic surfactant and subsequently curing it. SOLUTION: A prepreg is formed by impregnating a heat resistant fiber sheet as a base material with a heat resistant resin having incorporated thereinto 0.001-10 wt.% of an ionic fluorine-containing surfactant or the like followed by drying and curing under heating. As the heat resistant resin, there can be exemplified epoxy resins, phenol resins, polyimide resins, polysulfone resins and the like, which have a melting point or a decomposition point of at least 280 deg.C, The heat resistant fiber sheet is obtained by forming a fluororesin fiber such as a polytetrafluoroethylene or the like having a melting point or a decomposition point of at least 280 deg.C or a fluororesin fiber together with a heat resistant engineering plastic fiber such as a wholly aromatic polyamide or the like into a sheet by a wet paper-making method thereby uniformly dispersing fibers.
