For fixing a guide tube(1) of a nuclear reactor fuel assembly to an end plate(2), a sleeve(3) with two outer shoulders(5,6) is inserted to the opening(7a) of the end plate and welded to the end plate at its end portion. After the guide tube is forcedly fitted to the outside of the sleeve, a ferrule(4) is forcedly fitted to the guide tube as well as to the shoulder portion of the sleeve and then welded to the sleeve at its end portion.
