摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely evacuate from a building having stories by constituting an evacuation ladder in such a manner that a plurality of step arms which are suppressed by a large number metal joints extending in the vertical direction, are projected to a wall surface by the force of a spring, and thus, stepping areas for feet area ensured. SOLUTION: This evacuation ladder which is fixed to a wall surface having a window or a veranda by an attaching fitting 2 on the upper end section, is constituted in such a manner that a large number of gripping bars 10 are foldably connected by a bendable metal joint 5 arranged between adjacent gripping bars 10, 10. Normally, the plurality of gripping bars 10 are housed under a folded state in such a manner that both ends are carried by a pair of right and left groove-form gripping bar guiding posts 11, 11. Also, a length adjustment of the evacuation ladder is performed by using a required number of the gripping bars 10. Then, on each gripping bar 10, a pair of step arms 6 are pivotally supported. By projecting the step atms 6 to the wall surface side by the force of a spring 4 when the gripping bar 10 is expanded, a foot stepping area for each gripping bar 10 is ensured.
