PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve weather resistance and fitness for coating being capable of coating with uniformly beautiful patterns on convex portions on the surface of a base material by specifying a viscosity of a coating for pattern-forming in applying with rolling on the convex portions on the surface of a ceramic base material. SOLUTION: This paint is for pattern-forming in order to apply with rolling on convex portions on the surface of a ceramic base material wherein viscosity of the coating is 700-2,250 cps/6 rpm and 340-900 cp/60 rpm as viscosity by a rotational viscometer: and viscosity (cp) when rotating at 6 rpm/viscosity (cp) when rotating at 60 rpm in the equation is 2.0-2.6. A waterproofing sealer layer 2 is formed by performing waterproofing sealer coating on the base material having the pattern form on the convex portions on the surface obtained from compression molding of the pattern coating with cement plaster or the like. After first coloring layer 3 is applied on all surface region on the waterproofing sealer layer 2, second coloring layer 4 is formed by a convex roll on the convex portions and then pattern-coating 5 is formed by faithfully applying with rolling at a fixed site on the coloring layer 4.
