PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of construction cost by providing a pair of walls at both right and left sides of rear surface of a front wall, and extending a support beam rearward from an upper part of rear end of each wall. SOLUTION: A first-stage retaining wall block for planting A is placed on a foundation block, an anchor reinforcement bar extending from the foundation block is inserted into reinforcement bar insertion hole 3 of the block A. In the hole 3 mortar or concrete is placed, and in a planting space S of the block A planting earth such as sand, earth and small stones is filled. An engaging recess 7 for a second-stage block A is engaged with an engaging protrusion 6 of the second-stage block A to construct a staggered stack of the blocks A. In the hole 3 and connection recess 5 of the first-stage block A a connection reinforcement bar T is inserted, then concrete C is placed in the hole 3 and the recess 5, and the planting earth is filled in the space S. Further, similarly, blocks A are stacked.
