PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an operation rate, and increase the number of lines to be held, reduce the correction in number of a precision grinding tool even when the surface severe in accuracy for curvature of a lens is worked in an automatic working line for a lens. SOLUTION: In a line working method for forming up at least one lens surface 1a by means of supply of raw material 1 for a lens, curve generater working, precision grinding work, and polishing work, the method is formed out of a process for measuring a radius of curvature for the lens surface 20a of a master lens 20 having an intended radius of curvature, and for the lens surfaces 1a of at least two lens raw material 1 to which curve generater working has been applied, a process for operating an average valueΔH (AVG) of errors in a radius of curvature between the measured master lens 20 and the lens raw material 1, and of a process for correcting each axial position in curve generater working based on an operated average valueΔH (AVG) of errors.
