PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet capable of forming an image of high quality with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer sheet 10 comprising a photothermal conversion layer 14 and an image forming layer 16 provided on a support 12, an interlayer adhesive force between the layer 14 and the layer 16 is 2 to 10 g/cm. Preferably, the layer 14 contains a vinyl monomer or a modified silicone oil.
