PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceramic granules which allow the continuous molding of ceramic moldings having good dimensional accuracy with a good flow property, packability into metal molds and sticking resistance and the harmony obtained between a low pressure collapsing property and collapse resistance. SOLUTION: The ceramic granules are obtained by granulating one or >=2 kinds of ceramic particles together with a binder. The ceramic granules are classified as desired to remove the fine particles below 10 μm in grain size. While the granules are rolled and fluidized under such conditions of the volume of the water to be added, addition rate, intra-layer temperature and fluid under which the granules do not flocculate within a fluidized bed, the water is sprayed to impart moisture to the granules. The granules are fluidized and dried within the fluidized bed and are then humidified in such a manner that the moisture content on the granule surfaces attains a range where the flow property sufficient for packing in the molds for the ceramic moldings and that the moisture content over the entire part of the granules attains a range having the harmonized low pressure collapsing property and collapse resistance. The moldings are formed from such ceramic granules. |
