PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming the whiskers of blue jeans, which give natural appearance as in worn for a long period. SOLUTION: This method for forming the whiskers of blue jeans comprises the first process for immersing all parts or a part of blue jeans in a resin solution containing a resin having a shape-stabilizing function, a catalyst and a water-soluble polyurethane resin and then drying the blue jeans, the second process for compressing the prescribed portion of the dried blue jeans with a mold at a temperature of 150 to 200 deg.C to form the whiskers, the third process for ironing the whisker-free portion of the blue jeans and curing the whole portion of the wear, the forth process for subjecting the cured blue jeans to a violent stone processing, and the fifth process for decoloring the processed blue jeans with sodium hypochlorite, neutralizing the decolored jeans with hydrogen peroxide and then washing the jeans with water.
