PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing the, formed parts of an alloy whose allowable characteristics to damage is not deteriorated after deformation. SOLUTION: This method includes the following steps: (a) the casting of a plate having a compsn. composed of, by weight, 3.8 to 4.5% Cu, 1.2 to 1.5% Mg, 0.3 to 0.5% Mn, <0.25% Si, <0.20% Fe, <0.20% Zn, <0.10% Cr, <0.10% Zr and <0.10% Ti, (b) hot rolling at a starting temp. in the range from 430 to 470 deg.C, (c) the cutting of the plate, (d) solution treatment at 480 to 500 deg.C for 5 min to 1 hr, (e) quenching and (f) forming by one or plural methods among drawing, stamping forging, spinning, bending or the like.
