PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a closely packed article which is enclosed in a packaging container, free from damaging the packaging container, and capable of easily heating the closely packed article to a specific temperature in a short time under normal pressure, and also to provide a storage case and a heating device for the closely packed article to be used for performing the method. SOLUTION: A closely packed article 100 which is enclosed in a packaging container is stored in a storage case 71, and the storage case 71 is heated by combinedly using microwave irradiation and high-frequency induction heating. The storage case 71 contains a part 711A which is made of a microwave permeable material and a part 711B which is made of a material applicable to high-frequency induction heating, and has a storage space having the shape capable of enclosing the whole of the closely packed article 100 to be stored with almost no space, is used. Microwave can be irradiated with a waveguide HP from the bottom wall part 711A. High-frequency induction heating can be performed indirectly with partial heating through the impression of high-frequency alternating field from a high-frequency coil CL to the bottom wall part 711B.
