PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing and display device which enables to take out easily heated and stored food without opening and closing a glass door and the like. SOLUTION: A food-loading shelf 10B of the food housing and display device having opened front part and rear part comprises a hollow shelf main body 12 having loading surface of food with a slope declining forward to the housing front, air-sucking fans 13 arranged on the backside of the shelf main body 12 and air blowout openings 15 and 19 made in the upper part of the front edge of the shelf main body 12. The air sucked by the air-sucking fans 13 is blown out upward from the air blowout openings 15 and 19 through the hollow part of the shelf main body 12.
