PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside plug for holding a liquid-sucking wick and free from the trouble of the leakage of the liquid even by falling or turning a chemical liquid evaporation vessel by mistake. SOLUTION: The objective inside plug to be inserted into the mouth 2a of a chemical liquid evaporation vessel 2 and holding a liquid sucking wick 4 has minute irregularity 3d on at least a part of the inner circumference of a wick-holding cylinder 3b for holding the liquid sucking wick 4. A ventilation groove connecting the inside of the vessel 2 to the outer atmosphere is formed by the irregularity. The chemical liquid cannot pass through the ventilation groove formed by the minute irregularity 3d owing to the surface tension of the chemical liquid and, accordingly, the leakage of the liquid is prevented even by falling or turning the vessel 2 by mistake.
