PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply realize lamp voltage detection for protecting a discharge lamp in the occurrence of abnormality such as the last stage of life of the discharge lamp and lamp coming out. SOLUTION: This inverter device comprises a rectifier DB for rectifying an AC power source Vs; a capacitor C1 for smoothing; a series circuit of switching elements Q1, Q2 connected to the capacitor C1 in series and its reverse parallel diode; a capacitor C2 connected to both ends of the rectifier DB; an inductor L1 connected in parallel to the switching element Q2 through the capacitor C2 and constituting a series resonance circuit; a series resonance circuit connected in parallel to an inductor L2 and a capacitor C3; and a discharge lamp 1a connected in parallel to the capacitor C3. The discharge lamp 1a and the inductors L1, L2 are arranged so that one end of the discharge lamp 1a is connected to one end of the capacitor C1, and potential at the other end of the discharge lamp 1a is detected. |
