PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic disc device which makes it possible to avoid damaging a magnetic head and a magnetic disc and surely protect information data. SOLUTION: A magnetic disc device 110 comprises a magnetic head for scanning over a magnetic disc 5 to record/playback information, a slider holding the magnetic head, a flexure 9 holding the slider and having an elasticity substantially vertical to the magnetic disc 5 surface, a head actuator arm 1 holding the flexure 9 and for scanning the magnetic head on the magnetic disc 5, an elastic member 11 attached to a part of the actuator arm 1 for applying a load for pushing the slider onto the magnetic disc 5 surface, an unloader 12 engaged with the elastic member 11 so as to unload, and a lump 13 coming slidably in contact with the unloader 12 so that the unloader 12 unloads. The unloader 12 unloads so that the slider keeps substantially parallel to the magnetic disc 5 surface.
