The chassis folds around the cabinet for transport, then may be opened to provide the working chassis. The telephone installation comprises a self-contained unit for transmission and reception of mobile telephone signals. It comprises a cabinet (1) which is supported on a chassis, all of which is made of metal. The chassis has two folding sides (3,4) which stand upright in their folded position to provide a protective cage around the cabinet. In this position, the chassis and cabinet together may be loaded on to the back of a lorry, or carried by a helicopter. When folded down flat the chassis sides form an additional platform area around the cabinet. Also contained within the structure there is an aerial mast, and they may be photoelectric cells to obtain energy to operate the station, and satellite reflector dishes for communications.
