PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity by efficiently executing the sorting work of paper for forming an image or increasing image forming speed. SOLUTION: When the plural number of copies are set and a sorting mode or a stacking mode is set, an image forming by a plotter (image forming means) including a writing unit 607 is executed by a CPU 609 in an identical copy unit or an identical page unit according to a program in a ROM 610. Before the image forming of the head page or the final page of the identical copy or the identical page is executed, an address used when image information is read out from an image memory 612 by an image memory controller 608 is converted so that the corresponding image information is rotated by 90 deg. or 270 deg..
