PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display element which has highly visible recognition markers and contributes to an improvement in the workability and reliability of packaging work and an easy production method thereof. SOLUTION: The recognition markers 16 and 16 consisting of color filters are formed near connecting electrodes 15 of the liquid crystal display element 10. On the other hand, a TAB 20 connected to the liquid crystal display element 10 is provided with alignment markers 24 and 24 consisting of, for example, copper laminated tubes. The alignment of respective terminals 23a... of the TAB electrode 23 and respective terminals 15a... of the connecting electrodes 15 are execute in such a manner that the recognition markers 16 and 16 enter the inside of the frame of the alignment markers 24 and 24. The recognition markers 16 and 16 are formed of the same material as the material of the color filters simultaneously when the color filters are formed on the substrate 11 of the liquid crystal display element 10. |
