PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent production of the image of a light emitting diode while preventing decrease in the illuminance all over the surface of a liquid crystal and to decrease the production cost by forming a diffusing part on both of the front side and back side and embossing one of them. SOLUTION: The light diffusing sheet 1 consists of a base sheet 2, a first diffusing part 3 formed on the front side of the base sheet, and a second diffusing part 4 formed on the back side. The diffusing sheet 1 is formed from a synthetic resin such as PET, PC and polyolefin. The synthetic resin as the material of the base sheet 2 is fused and extruded from a T die into a sheet and wound up by a pair of polishing rolls. The surfaces of the rolls have many recesses of a specified form so that the unhardened synthetic resin flows into the recesses to form projections and recesses according to the reversed form of the recesses as the embossed form on the front and back faces of the obtd. base sheet 2. The embossed front and back faces of the sheet are the first diffusing part 3 and the second diffusing part 4, respectively. |
