PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and easily display a multi-screen. SOLUTION: Video data DS of a desired video material is temporarily stored in a memory part 143 by a memory control part 142. The written video data for one display screen is divided into plural areas. Video data is read in a prescribed order for each area and given interpolating processing through the use of read video data to generate video data. The read video data and the generated video data are written in output memories 144-1 to 144-4 corresponding to the areas to store video data for one displayed picture. Video data is read from each memory 44 to generate video data DV-1 to DV-4 for one displayed picture. The generated video data DV-1 to DV-4 are supplied to video conversion output parts 145-1 to 145-4 from which video signals SV-1 to SV-4 are supplied to video output devices 25-1 to 25-4. The image of a desired video material is multi-screen-displayed by the devices 25-1 to 25-4.
