PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polarizing plate with a high polarization degree having excellent moisture and heat resistance for a long period with requiring a complicated structure, and to obtain a method for the production of this plate. SOLUTION: This polarizing plate is obtd. by laminating a protective layer essentially consisting of a cyclic olefin resin with an interposed adhesive layer on at least one surface of a PVA polarizing film. A mixture of a polyvinylalcohol adhesive and a two-liquid adhesive (e.g. an adhesive essentially consisting of an acrylic main agent and an isocyanate hardening agent) is used for the adhesive of the polarizing, plate or, the adhesive layer consists of a laminated structure of a polyvinylalcohol adhesive layer and a two-liquid adhesive layer. The polarizing film and the protective film are laminated while the source liquid of the adhesive is not completely dried. |
