PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output alternately a non-inverted image signal and an inverted image signal in the time base direction on each scanning line by a single memory relative to an input image signal. SOLUTION: A horizontal pulse synchronized with an input image signal after A/D conversion and a clock signal are inputted, and such a scanning line identification signal that a first scanning line identification signal whose state alternates between two scanning line periods is outputted is generated, and a writing address in a memory 104 and a reading-out address repeating an increment operation and a decrement operation between the two scanning line periods corresponding to the scanning line identification signal are generated, and as for the reading-out address, address generation is started during a suspension period of the writing address, thereby output an alternating image output signal repeating non-inversion and inversion in the time base direction on each scanning line relative to an input image signal by a single memory.
