PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a diagnostic result in a display form so that a located faulty part can be understood at a glance by executing fault diagnosis of a network system. SOLUTION: In the case that a fault in a network system 100 is informed by lighting a fault lamp of any control unit, this network diagnostic device 200 is connected in parallel or in series to all of a plurality of control units. Then the network diagnostic unit 200 allows a plurality of the control units to transmit an inquiry signal from one unit to an other unit respectively sequentially, allows each unit to receive the reply signal from each of the other units so as to discriminate established/unestabilished communication between each unit and the other units, generates and displays a correlation map in a display form by which the established/unestablished communication between each unit and the other units can be identified. Thus, from which unit and which part of a communication line a fault takes place can be recognized at a glance on the basis of the display pattern of the correlation map.
