PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray irradiating device smoothing the motion of wipers. SOLUTION: This device is provided with multiple ultraviolet ray transparent tubes 31 containing an ultraviolet lamp supported in parallel by a frame 29, wipers 33 installed outside the individual transparent tubes 31 and freely traveling in a longitudinal direction, moving members 35 placed extendingly in parallel between the multiple transparent tubes 31, driving means 37, 39 moving the moving members 35 in the extending direction, and engaging members engaging the wipers 33 with the moving means 35. A friction force between the wipers 33 and the transparent tubes 31 is applied in a longitudinal direction of the wiper rod 35, i.e., a direction with a higher rigidity, thereby presenting small deformation on the wiper rod 35, resulting in smooth motion of the wipers 33.
