PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer in which the replacement operation by an operator of a reagent bottle whose reagent is in a shortage state is performed easily by a method wherein the reagent bottle whose reagent is in the shortage state is moved to a prescribed position according to the movement instruction of a reagent warehouse. SOLUTION: When it is required to dispense a reagent into a reaction tube, a CPU system 2 moves a reaction bottle 6a to a reagent dispensing position on the basis of its position information. A reagent dispensing arm/probe 4a sucks the reagent inside the reagent bottle 6a, and the reagent is dispensed into the reaction tube in which a specimen sample is put. At this time, the residual amount of the reagent inside the reagent bottle 6a is calculated. After a measurement is finished, a light emitting element 8a is made to flash when a reagent bottle 6a to be replaced is in a reagent warehouse 5a on the basis of the calculated residual amount of the reagent. When an operator presses a feed switch 8, the reagent warehouse 5a is turned and operated, sand the reagent bottle 6a is moved up to the position of a position indication mark 7.
