PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a water-proof property of a solenoid coil by providing a flange portion at both ends of a body portion accommodating an iron core and a plunger on which the solenoid coil is wound and sealing the inside of a case through an O ring attached to the flange portion. SOLUTION: An electro-magnet 1 attached to an electromagnetic valve comprises a coil portion 3 and an iron core 3, and the coil portion 3 is constituted by a bobbin 6 on which a solenoid coil 5 is wound; a case 7 surrounding the bobbin 6; an a yoke 8 externally fitted to the case 7. The bobbin 6 has a cylindrical body portion 9 on which the solenoid coil 5 is wound, flange portions 10, 11 are projectedly provided on both ends of the body portion 9 and O rings 12, 12a are attached to stepped portions 10c, 11a having small diameter formed on respective flange portions 10, 11. The solenoid coil 5 is sealingly retained in the case 7 by fitting an approximately cylindrical base 7a having a height from the upper stepped portion 10c having a small diameter to the lower stepped portion 11a to the flange portions 10, 11 through the O rings 12, 12a.
