<p>This invention is a method for in vivo analysis of a biomedical sample (24) characterized by contacting the sample with a chalcogenide fiber (22) transmitting light from source (14) to the sample (24), and transmitting a signal from the detector (16) in response to the absorption of some of the light by the sample (24) for processing in the Fourier Transform IR Spectrometer (12) to obtain a spectrum which indicates the surface character of the sample without water masking the signal.</p> |
