PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for a rare earth bond magnet wherein high dimension accuracy is obtained only with compression molding, resolving the problem of soaring manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: The process where magnetic powder of rare earth-transition metal-boron group and resin bonder are mixed together so that compound 1 is obtained, the process where the compound 1 is housed in a vessel, the process where a vessel 2 is so moved that the compound 1 fills the cavity 3 of a die, and the process where, while the place about parallel to the vessel movement direction of at least one facing and face of facing cylindrical punches 4 and 5 having a recessed part 4a, the compound 1 is compressed with the punches 4 and 5 so that a ring-like rare earth bond magnet is obtained, are at least provided. Two recessed parts 4a are formed on the end face of the punch 4, at the opposite position to each other by 180 deg., and wide angle is within 90 deg. and the end face of the recessed part 4a is curved. |
