A leaf spring type coupling, comprising a first leaf spring (9) and a second leaf spring (10) absorbing a displacement between the axes of first and second rotating shafts provided through an intermediate member (8) between a fist shaft connection member (6) and a second shaft connection member (7), wherein the second shaft connection member (7) is inserted between the second leaf spring (10) and the intermediate member (8) so that a projected part (7B) of the second shaft connection member (7) can pass through a through-hole (10B) in the second leaf spring (10) and the first leaf spring (10) is inserted between the intermediate member (8) and the first shaft connection member (6), and the intermediate member (8) and second shaft connection member (7) are installed between the first leaf spring (9) and the second leaf spring (10) so that the longitudinal mounting angles of both members (7) and (8) are deviated by an angle of 90 DEG relatively to each other about their rotating axis, whereby the axial length of the coupling necessary for connecting a rotation detector to a motor can be shortened and the size of the coupling can be reduced.
