The invention relates to cyclohexenone dioxothiochromanoyl derivatives of formula (I), in which: X forms an -O-(CH2)n -chain that can be substituted, or forms a -(CH2)p - chain that can be substituted and/or interrupted by an oxygen or sulfur; n ranges from 1 to 5, and; p ranges from 2 to 6. The invention also relates to the salts of said cyclohexenone dioxothiochromanoy l derivatives that can be used for agricultural purposes, to methods and intermediate products for producing said cyclohexenone dioxothiochromanoyl derivatives, to agents which contain the same, as well as to the use of thes e derivatives or of agents which contain these derivatives for controlling unwanted plants.
