PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to increase luminance by changing the material of a discharge gas for exciting fluorescent layers and reducing reflected light in the inside/outside thereof. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of shared electrodes(22a) and scan electrodes(22b) are alternatively arranged in the lower side of a front substrate(21). First black mattress layer(210) is arranged in a non discharge area between a pair of electrodes(22a,22b) and another adjacent pair of electrodes. First dielectric layer(24) embeds the shared and scan electrodes(22a,22b) and the first black mattress layer(210). A color filter layer(220) is formed underlying the first dielectric layer(24). A second dielectric layer(250) embeds the color filter layer(220). A transparent rear substrate(26) is arranged opposite the front substrate(21). An address electrode(26) is on the rear substrate(26) to intersect the shared and scan electrodes(22a,22b). Third dielectric layer(28) embeds the address electrode. Compartments(29) are on the upper side of the third dielectric layer(28) to partition discharge spaces. White luminous fluorescent layer(200) is coated between the compartments. A discharge gas is sealed into the discharge spaces when sealing the front and rear substrates. |
