METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MOTOR OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE WHEN RPM DETECTION SENSOR IS FAILED

PURPOSE: A method for controlling motor of electronic device when rpm detection sensor is failed is provided to control the normal operation of a system with preset control phase in accordance with the wind flow of the electronic device in the failure of the rpm detection sensor. CONSTITUTION: In an electronic device comprising a microprocessor(18) and a phase detection and control unit(12), the method for controlling motor of electronic device comprises steps controlling the rpm of the fan motor(14) by the microprocessor(18) with preset control phase in accordance with the wind flow of the electronic device when a sensor(16) detecting the rpm of the motor was failed. The microprocessor(18) compares the signal output from the sensor(16) with the reference phase of AC source to operate the compared results. The phase detection and control unit(12) detects the phase of input AC source and controls the drive torque of the motor.
