PURPOSE: A method and a device for generating an incoming tone according to paging information of a communication terminal are provided to generate incoming tones to be different according to paging information received to the communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A controller(100) checks whether wireless paging information is received through a receiving unit(110). If received, the controller(100) checks whether a communication form in the wireless paging information is a voice form. If so, the controller(100) reads incoming tone data corresponding to the voice communication, for outputting to a speaker(141). If a communication form in the wireless paging information is a data communication form, the controller(100) reads incoming tone data corresponding to the data communication, for outputting to the speaker(141). If a communication form in the wireless paging information is not a voice form and a data communication form, the controller(100) outputs an incoming tone corresponding to a default to the speaker(141).
